RESOLUTION OF CLUB AWARDS

A.  AWARD

  1. The award shall be a plaque of oak or other suitable wood approximately 5 inches by 7 inches.
  2. Mounted on the plaque will be:
    1. 2 inch Club Medallion
    2. A 1 inch by 4 inch engraved metal plate with the dog’s name and title(s)
  3. The plaque will only be presented for the first title. For subsequent titles, a new nameplate will be presented.
  4. One award will be presented. If the dog is co-owned by club members, additional plaques may be purchased from the club at cost. If more than one plaque is desired the Award Committee Chairperson must be notified by November 30 of the year in which the award is presented.
  5. The calendar year for the award shall be December 1 to November 30.
  6. If a title was earned but not published, the owner may notify the Award Committee Chairperson by November 30 stating the title, date and place earned and request that the award be included in the current year.
  7. Awards will be prepared once per year, normally between November 30 and the Christmas dinner meeting.

B.  AWARDS WILL BE PRESENTED FOR ALL AMERICAN KENNEL CLUB RECOGNIZED TITLES

C.  ELIGIBILITY FOR AWARD

  1. Dogs must be owned or co-owned by member(s) of the San Francisco Bay West Highland White Terrier Club at the time the title is earned.
  2. Any disputes concerning eligibility or documentation of an award will be resolved by the Board of Directors.

D.  AWARD COMMITTEE

  1. The Award Committee will compile and prepare the awards. The Award Committee will maintain records of the awards presented.
  2. The Gazette shall be used for the documentation of the titles recognized by the AKC.

E.  FOREIGN TITLES

  1. An award will not be presented solely for a foreign title.
  2. If an award had previously been or is subsequently earned by the dog, the foreign title will be included on the nameplate.
  3. The titles for which an award will be presented are the same as those in Section B.
  4. Documentation shall be the responsibility of the owner of the dog. Copies of certificates should be submitted to the Award Committee Chairperson.

F.  PRESENTATION OF AWARDS

  1. The President will present the awards at the annual Christmas meeting.
  2. Awards not received at the Christmas meeting will be delivered as soon as practical by the best available means.

G.  RESPONSIBILITY

  1. It is the ultimate responsibility of the owner of the dog to notify the Awards Committee of any titles.
